Getting the right people to notice, on purpose.
30 PUBLIC RELATIONS, LLC is a Raleigh-based public relations and communications firm. We build the story, find the reporters who'd actually care, and make sure it lands where it counts.
Four ways we get you covered
Most of it is media relations. Some of it is knowing what not to say, and when. All of it starts with a story worth telling.
Five stages, every time
No firm can promise a specific headline. What we can promise is a process that gives a story its best shot.
Listen
An audit of how the business is currently being talked about — or isn't — and where competitors are winning coverage.
Frame
Turning the business into a story a reporter would actually want, not a press release restating the mission statement.
Pitch
Direct outreach to the specific beat reporters and editors who cover this exact story, not a mass distribution list.
Amplify
Turning earned coverage into material the business can actually use — social, sales decks, investor updates.
Measure
A plain account of what ran, where, and whether it moved something that mattered to the client.
Beats we cover regularly
Sectors where the press pays attention if the story is framed right — and ignores it if it isn't.

What to expect, plainly
Fixed facts about how engagements run, not projections about coverage we can't promise in advance.
What clients said
Representative feedback shared with permission; names withheld at clients' request.
"They turned down two pitches we were excited about because the timing was wrong. Frustrating in the moment, right every time."
"When the story broke before we were ready, they had a statement drafted in under an hour and it held up."
"We'd been sending our own press releases into the void for two years. The difference was who they actually called."
Common questions
Can you guarantee coverage?+
No, and any firm that promises a specific placement in advance is telling you something you shouldn't believe. What we can control is the quality of the story, who it's pitched to, and the timing. Editors make the final call.
Do you work on retainer or by project?+
Both. Ongoing media relations works best as a retainer, since relationships and momentum take time to build. A single announcement, launch, or crisis response can be scoped as a standalone project.
How long before we see results?+
Plan on the first month for research and relationship-building, with the first pitches going out in month two. Meaningful coverage patterns usually take a full quarter to establish.
What size companies do you work with?+
Mostly small and mid-sized businesses, startups, and regional organizations — companies where a dedicated in-house PR team isn't yet the right investment.
Do you handle social media too?+
We focus on earned media and communications strategy rather than day-to-day social management, though we'll shape how coverage gets used across a client's own channels.
What happens in a crisis, outside business hours?+
Active clients have a direct line for exactly this. Response time and escalation steps are agreed on before anything happens, not improvised in the moment.
